Hi, my name is Abbi VanHoose!
I am a Senior at The Ohio State University in the Interior Design program. I am also minoring in Studio Art with a focus in glass and ceramics. I currently hold a 3.959 cumulative GPA and have made the Dean's List every semester thus far.
Throughout my time at OSU and through internships, I have learned and furthered my skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, SketchUp, Mortfolio Trace, and Adobe's Creative Suite, as well as being skilled at creating professional presentations. I am also a student member of the Ohio/Kentucky chapter of IIDA and have participated in their mentoring programs and other local events.
I am from Arcanum, a small town in midwest Ohio. In May 2020, I graduated high school from Arcanum Butler Local Schools and from Edison State Community College with my Associate's degree in Fine Arts. Currently, my goal is to further my education after my Bachelor's degree by obtaining a Master's degree in Architecture with a minor in Historic Preservation. Growing up in a small community has allowed me to see the importance of preserving our buildings and the history that they provide our towns.
Besides interior design, architecture, and historic preservation, I have interests in various studio art mediums. I have taken courses in photography, ceramics, and glassblowing throughout my college career thus far. I also enjoy experimenting with macrame and embroidery.
